Best Practice Care for Bath and Beach Towels
Wash Before Using
Before first use, wash your towels in cold water without detergent. Due to their low twist, it is expected that some loose cotton fibers will come off during the first few uses.
Wash Colors Separately
It is normal for colored towels to release dye during the first few washes, so they should be washed separately. Wash your towels with other towels of the same color and avoid mixing different types of fabric or clothing that could damage your towels during the machine wash cycles.
Machine Wash up to 40ºC
We recommend machine washing in cold water, maximum 40ºC .
Avoid Fabric Softener
Using fabric softener makes towels less absorbent, so it should be avoided as much as possible. If you accidentally use fabric softener, don't worry. You can continue to use your towels as is and their full absorbency will be restored in the next wash cycle. Occasionally, you can add white vinegar to disinfect and soften the cotton fibers.
Never Use Bleach
Bleach will damage the terry cloth of your towels.
Tumble Dry or Hang Dry, Avoiding Direct Exposure to Sunlight
For maximum softness, Torres Novas towels can be tumble dried at a low to moderate temperature. If using a traditional clothesline, avoid direct sunlight and remove the towels before they are completely dry to prevent them from becoming too stiff. If they do become stiff, don't worry, they will regain their softness after a few uses.
Store in a Cool, Dry Place
Torres Novas towels should be stored in a cool, dry place. Avoid damp areas.
Hang towels between uses. We recommend hanging towels on a towel rail or hanger immediately after use. This is important to prevent the development of moisture and unpleasant odours.
Change Towels After 5-7 Uses
We recommend that you change and wash your towels after 5-7 uses .
Best Practice Care for Bed Linen
